The 15th Annual Empty Bowls event in Columbus will take place on Saturday, January 26 at 5:30pm at Central Middle School.
Local potters make bowls that people can purchase along with a meal of donated homemade soups and breads. The bowls remind us of how we can help when we come together -‐-‐-‐ last year this event was able to raise and donate over $14,000.00 NET to help combat hunger through Love Chapel, Human Services, Hope Community Center and Eastside Community Center.
EMPTY BOWLS brings together many community groups for one purpose -‐ helping the hungry. The event is held at Central Middle School with live music and raffle basket drawings.
Entertainment this year is provided by Tim Grimm and Jan Lucas-‐Grimm. Rhythm Conspiracy, a Taiko drumming group, will perform first.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at Viewpoint Books on January 2.
