Fougasse Bread Making Class

April 16th 4pm - 6pm (Part 1)

April 17th 10am - Noon (Part 2)

Cost: Free

Fougasse is a olive oil based bread from Provence. It is somewhat related to focaccia, but much more wonderful, being packed with the iconic flavours of Provence - olives, lemons, garlic, olive oil, rosemary, sun-dried tomatoes. After a long overnight rise, the soft dough is stretched and cut into the shape of a leaf, or sometimes a ladder. A fougasse is never cut, but passed and pulled apart at the table.

In Part 1, We will learn how to make the bread with everyone having a hands on task. IMG_0650.JPG

In Part 2, We will make the bread and then share our wonderful bread over a simple lunch.
