Looking for a local CSA, Winter Market, or a workshop on urban agriculture? Find all of those, plus much more through the Local Growers Guild. The Local Growers’ Guild is a cooperative of farmers, retailers, and community members dedicated to strengthening the local food economy in southern Indiana through education, direct support, and market connections.
Bloomingfoods has been around since 1976 and continues to grow and support start-up cooperatives, like us! Please visit any one of their three stores to get an idea of what's coming to downtown Columbus.
Thank you to Grace Snider, a senior at Columbus North, whose Senior Project "Bee Cuz We Care" raised money for the Co-op to use for bee education and outreach. Grace sold her father's honey from his two beehives. The money raised helped to bring "Queen of the Sun: What are the bees telling us?" to the Columbus library on April 18.
Join us at the Farmers' Market each Saturday, June 2 - Sept 29th, in the Cummins parking lot off Brown Street. Enjoy the live music and chef demos while supporting local growers and producers. Don't forget to stop by the Co-op's booth!
We aim to farm sustainably. For us, that means we’re caring for the land, raising livestock humanely and on pasture, selling meat locally, and connecting with our community. Find out more at www.nightfallfarm.com
