Michael Greven & Family Relocating to Eldoret

Interim Co-op President Michael Greven and Family Relocating to Eldoret, Kenya
It has been a great pleasure to work with a wonderful group of people as we have built the Co-op from a dream a few of us shared to a dream that is now shared by nearly 600 members and their families in Columbus and the surrounding areas.  The Co-op is positioning itself to move forward and open a store….something all of us are eagerly awaiting.  The Co-op has a strong board comprised of individuals committed to the mission of enhancing healthy food choices and education in our community. From afar I look forward to supporting the Board and Co-op as they move forward. Our family will be relocating to Eldoret, Kenya in August where I will be managing the construction of a Chronic Disease Care Center, which is part of the Indiana University/Kenya program. I invite you to learn more about that program by going to www.iukenya.org or www.ampath.org.
The transition on the interim board has been smooth.  Carla Barrett is now the Interim President and Kevin McCracken is our new Vice President.  Rounding out the officers are Laura Nading as Secretary and Chad Holcomb as Treasurer.  They are supported by a strong board and many determined volunteers.  If you would like to get more involved, please feel free to call SaraBeth Drybread at 812-343-3588 or email her at info@columbusmarket.coop.
Thanks for all of your support and confidence over the past few years and we look forward to walking through the doors of our community Co-op when we return from Eldoret.
