Sarah Grey is a long time activist on a broad range of social justice issue. In despair over the lack of local access to good food, she became actively involved in the effort to bring a food co-op to Columbus, IN. She works from a close interest in grassroots efforts for sustainable democratic development, not only in the global south, but also for us here. Thus she sees the co-operative model as the most promising form of community building.
Sarah co-ordinates Columbus Peace Fellowship, an affiliate of the Fellowship of Reconciliation, serves on the board of the Indiana Abolition Coalition, and on the steering committees of the Inclusive Community Coalition, the Arts for AIDS Coalition, and the annual Empty Bowls Project. Under the auspices of Friends of Haiti she administers a popular literacy project in Haiti for the Wylie Foundation.
